The Data Center and Energy BU's purpose is to engineer a decarbonized, cleaner, and a more sustainable electrified future, and drive efficiencies in data centers. Developing solutions for the digitized grid; renewable energy generation; energy transmission, distribution, and storage; EV charging infrastructure; smart meters; and energy conversion, the group supports customers with break-through technology to convert, manage, and store electrical power.
We are currently seeking a system applications engineer with experience in defining, designing and supporting microcontroller-based systems. The role requires system level thinking with a broad set of skills in many aspects of electronics while possessing strong interpersonal skills. The candidate will operate as an interface between circuit design, firmware and software developers, product evaluation, and marketing. They will need to learn the customer applications to best drive solutions with products and collateral.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interact with customers, designers and technology leaders in the Energy space which includes EV supply equipment, renewables, energy management systems and the grid infrastructure to learn pain points and application challenges.
Work closely with Marketing on the technical aspects of product definition for future products.
System and Hardware level platform development to evaluate new technology solutions
Work with IC and software development teams on requirements and specifications
Support customers in the evaluation and design of new projects with ADI parts
Lead the Energy team in technical understanding, especially in new applications.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent.
At least 4 years experience in a electronics engineering role
A broad understanding of a typical system development flow.
Experience and understanding of microcontroller-based systems and their architecture.
A broad understanding of a typical IC development flow, from requirements and specs through volume production.
Must have prior experience in developing and debugging all aspects of mixed-signal hardware, including PCB capture and component selection.
Knowledge in a programming language. Understanding of Labview or experience in embedded firmware is a plus.

Strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
Understanding of power supply architecture and/or isolation technologies is a plus.
Demonstrated team player, excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work and lead a team to aggressive schedules.

Ability to travel for customer and partner meetings as required.
Job Req Type: ExperiencedRequired Travel: Yes, 10% of the timeShift Type: 1st Shift/DaysThe expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $108,800 to $149,600. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
