Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and embedded software development, primarily using C and C++. This role involves working on defense-oriented system software with a focus on backend engineering and network communications. You will be engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for defense-related systems.
Implement robust solutions in C and C++, with a focus on performance and reliability.
Collaborate on system architecture and integration of network communication protocols.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging across multiple platforms.
Document software designs and maintain development standards.
Required Skills
Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded software development.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and memory management.
Experience with network protocols and multi-tasking in embedded environments.
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level hardware interaction is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
2+ years of relevant experience, including internships or co-ops.
Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts such as:
Embedded system architecture
Object-oriented design principles
Network protocol implementation
Data types and structures
Error handling and memory management
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
