Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) founded in 2004 in Stafford, VA. VNE is devoted to improving tactical operations at home and abroad by enabling the seamless transition of data across the intelligence community and developing/integrating solutions to unify operations and intelligence. VNE is looking for a Secret Cleared Engineer Electrical/Electronic II.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing/integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include: Systems/Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation support of C4ISR or similar requirements.
  • One (1) year of technical experience in support of ISR/IO Programs.
  • Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Proficient with utilizing DevOps tools for build, test, patch automation, and configuration management (CM) (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, BMC, or Similar).
  • Experience in creating and maintaining documentation, including knowledge base articles, procedure manuals, and technical guides.
  • Secret level Clearance required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have or be able to attain within 30 days of assignment Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II certification.

Job Description:

Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical and electronics engineers work closely with computers. Electrical and electronics engineers specialize in different areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Electrical and electronics engineers design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules. They also test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
