What Will You Be Doing?
The Facilities Engineer position is responsible for developing cost-effective, well-planned, and functional facilities for Frontier. Interfacing with internal stakeholders, outside consultants, contractors, vendors, airport and governmental officials, and other airline representatives to manage space planning and facility improvements. Performing minor fire safety, HVAC, IT, construction, plumbing, and other essential repairs as needed.
Essential Functions Manage buildout projects and oversee general contractors.
Prepare budgets and RFPs; manage schematic design; source and evaluate bids; and award work to contractors and suppliers.
Coordinate with and manage real estate professionals, architects, engineers, program managers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Read and interpret blueprints, review architectural standards and building conditions and estimate building component costs
Review projects for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Perform periodic, essential repairs at headquarters and facilities across the network. Qualifications At least 2 years of facility management and maintenance experience
Proven experience in dealing with building systems management
Hands-on maintenance ability relating to HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and plumbing is preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with internal and external customers.
Knowledge in operating and troubleshooting office equipment
General knowledge of ordering/purchasing general office equipment and supplies
Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprint, design and construction documents
Knowledge and understanding of the construction process, building codes and standards
Ability to prioritize tasks, organize, anticipate changes and work well under pressure
Ability to travel on company-supported initiatives up to 80% of the time Equipment Operated
Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printer
Some use of hand tools, power tools, must have knowledge of standard facility shop equipment
Work Environment / Remote Work Options This role can be based at our headquarters in Denver, CO or anywhere in the United States via a remote work arrangement (periodic travel to Denver from a Frontier-serviced city required)
If remote, you must be able to follow our remote work policies, including ability and comfort level working from home with access to a high-speed internet connection
If headquarters-based, typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled Physical Effort
Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently

General Supervision: The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
