EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer II - Software in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, document and analyze modules or features of new or upgraded software systems, applications, and new products. Develop and execute implementation according to project plans and priorities. Coding, edit, document, and debugging of software based upon internal and customer requirements. Develop new and modify existing business and operations applications in support of the HughesOn Enterprise services. Implement the software development life cycle during all application development from requirements gathering through deployment. Basic Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field plus 1 year of experience in job offered or similar role. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following (which may have been gained concurrently): Real time systems development in Python, Agile development methodologies using JIRA, GIT; DBs, Linux OS, and REST based web services; OO principles and methodologies, Design and analysis of algorithms, Operation system design, Software automation/orchestration and cloud-based services such as GCP, Apache Airflow. The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range Annual Salary: $101,421.00 - $101,421.00
