Join the Civmec Team Civmec are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our shipbuilding project based in Henderson WA. This position provides a great opportunity to join a prestigious project with a lengthy pipeline of work leading into the next generation. The Role
Overseeing all Main Propulsion, Shafting, Blindes, Rudders and Finstabilizers.
Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
Understand and implement quality control techniques
Work with subcontractors on all contracted assignments
Resolve technical issues in an expedient and cost-effective manner
Preparation and issue of weekly status reports
Tracking of manhours
Preparation of work schedules,
Preparation of material requisitions
Review, create, issue and follow up all request for information (RFI’s) and technical queries (TQ’s)
Take timely corrective action to address any issued non-conformances
Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
About You
Tertiary qualifications in structural, engineering or construction management
Previous project experience on fabrication projects ideally in the ship building sector is desirable
Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools is essential.
Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is essential.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale construction projects,
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
High level of computer literacy
