Position: Entry Applications Engineer. Reports To: Engineering Manager.

As an Applications Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating component drawings and part instructions based on customer-supplied designs, ensuring our manufacturing process runs smoothly. You will also assist in creating drawings for the Scheduling & Purchasing Department as needed. This position is detail orientated, with an understanding of customer specifications, and the ability to interpret and translate assembly drawings and layouts accurately. Collaboration and communication with the Engineering Team will assist you in your success.
Key Responsibilities: Converting customer designs into fabrication (FAB) drawings. Prepare quotes and drawings per customer specifications. Create drawings for components and production needs. Assist in creating routings and drawings with revision levels and specified tolerances. Make corrections to drawings as directed by the Quality Department, maintaining proper revision levels. Work on special engineering projects as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements: No Formal Degree Required. Proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc). Experience with ERP software (preferred but not required). Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to foster positive working relationships within the company. Demonstrated accuracy and consistency with details. Ability to visualize and interpret technical requirements effectively. Strong organizational skills to maintain efficient product flow.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Prepare Quotes & drawings per Customer Specifications. Review the project and make sure the expectations are understood. Prepare drawing details for purchasing all subcontracted components. Create details from layouts or create assembly drawings for components as required for production. Assist in creating part methods and drawings as required. drawings have revision levels and specified tolerances that match customer requirements. Make corrections on drawings as needed by the Quality department - revision levels for all pictures (old or new). Work on special engineering projects as directed by the Manager.
