Position Description: We are looking for an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water Team to improve infrastructure in our Tampa office. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and have one to five years of related experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit is preferred. Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills will be essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:
Provide technical planning, and Electrical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. Projects that may include combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants
Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, reports etc.
Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards
Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals
Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
Document design changes and communications
Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed
Prepare project status and other reports
Assist in the preparation of proposals
Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Skills/Experience:
1 to 5 years of related experience required
AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience is preferred
On site experience and strict adherence to Safety Policies are required
Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects is required
Strong written and verbal skills is required
