Entry-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst

Torch is seeking a Entry-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to work on cutting-edge missile defense systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position involves working in the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Government Systems Integration Laboratory (GSIL) Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) facility where tactical hardware and software, as well as modeling and simulation tools, are used to assess the IBCS missile defense system. The selected candidate will support the analysis of data generated during test execution and will provide feedback to the government customers. Responsibilities include analyzing tactical system and simulation data, running system and component-level simulations, and testing to assess missile defense system performance, new feature implementation, as well as fixes to the software. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively present missile defense system performance to the government customer and the missile defense system stakeholder community. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the success and safety of the warfighter. The position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Responsibilities Include Analyze missile defense system behavior to identify potential improvements in tactical software, develop future capabilities/improvements, and assist in the creation of tactical defense designs Analyze large amounts of missile defense data using statistical analysis techniques to determine and communicate system performance Analyze data produced through new component integration efforts Effectively communicate analysis results to customers and program stakeholders Job Requirements Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other STEM related degree. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions and develop accurate written materials to communicate information clearly and concisely. Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules. Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations. Ability to build solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers. Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and ownership over projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge. Candidate must be a US Citizen. Possess (or able to obtain) a Secret Clearance. Preferred Experience: Experience using the Linux OS. Experience using Matlab. Experience using Python. Prior experience supporting military defense systems is a plus.
