Enviromental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Engineer

Our EHS team is growing, and we are adding an Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Engineer onsite five days a week at our Catawba, NC office. How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
The EHS Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations.
Key Responsibilities Develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety audits.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards, including NFPA 70E, NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code), and other applicable codes.
Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Support and maintain ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) systems, including audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and report on environmental metrics (e.g., emissions, waste, water usage).
Deliver EHS training to employees, including emergency response and required compliance training.
Utilize and manage EHS software platforms such as Entropy or similar systems for tracking compliance, incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
Maintain records and prepare reports for internal and external audits. Required Qualifications for Consideration: Two or more years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, NCDEQ, etc).
Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
Experience with life safety systems, emergency planning, and NFPA code compliance.
Experience with emergency preparedness and business continuity You Will Excite Us If You Have: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental or related field.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Certification such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM
