Responsibilities

Performing engineering design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Duties may include: Performing engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews, request for information reviews, site visits, and other administrative tasks. Preparing opinions of probable construction cost and engineering evaluations for master planning, condition assessments, and design alternatives. Preparing reports, technical memoranda, client presentations, and conference presentations. Performing biological wastewater treatment process design, including biological modeling, aeration modeling, other secondary treatment design calculations, and design deliverable development. Assisting with wastewater pilot and demonstration-scale testing, including preparing or reviewing pilot testing plans, operational planning; onsite physical, chemical, biological analysis and troubleshooting; result analysis and evaluation; and preparation of deliverables. Assisting with innovative wastewater process development and implementation, including low-dissolved oxygen treatment, per- and polyfluorinated substance mitigation. May telecommute part-time.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus two years of work experience as an Environmental Engineer, Civil Engineer, Project Officer, or a related occupation.
