Position Overview
C&S is seeking a full-time Project Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our Environmental Service Group in our Syracuse, New York office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing and serving as technical expert on regulatory compliance projects spanning a variety of technical areas such as petroleum and chemical bulk storage, storm water, hazardous waste, etc.
Complete marketing and business development activities
Provide proposal development, project estimating, and technical document preparation
Complete field activities
Prepare various technical reports, permits, and plans
Overseeing project financials and staff execution of project tasks
Complete quality assurance review of others’ work
Provide staff management and development
Skills/Education/Experience
Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
5+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients preferred
A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, geology or related programs
Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
A valid driver’s license
A willingness to travel and undertake overnight travel, if necessary
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits
$70,000 - $90,000/year*
*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
