Micron is looking for an experienced Facilities Electrical Engineer to be part of the design, construction, commissioning, and sustaining operations for our new state of the art high volume manufacturing Fab and existing technology development fab in Boise, ID. The Facilities Electrical Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment with parallel engineering subject areas, to analyze operational efficiency activities, identify cost effective sustaining and manufacturing improvements and provide design input on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee the installation of high to medium voltage electrical systems for the semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and standards.
Actively participate in all EHS-related electrical system and safety discussions and problem solving.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
Support and mentor electrical engineers and technicians, provide strategic oversight and technical guidance.
Develop comprehensive technical reports and documentation to ensure proper alignment with all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering fields.
3+ years of experience as a Facilities Electrical Engineer within an industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g. OSHA, NFPA, UL).
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as SKM, EasyPower and ETAP
Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Three or more years of electrical facilities/plant design and operations experience within the semiconductor industry.
Solid understanding of energy management systems and sustainable practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
