We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities: The Facilities Engineer, Sr is responsible for managing, maintaining and optimizing facilities and infrastructure systems that are essential to operations. The facility management engineering function includes responding to complex maintenance repair requests and identifying problems and their solutions. The Senior Facilities Engineer will plan and implement building/facility maintenance and repairs on structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and sanitary systems, as well as related equipment and machinery.

Your Challenge: Implements the complex operations, maintenance and optimization of building systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and sanitary systems as well as any related equipment and machinery. Responsible for the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs, analysis of breakdowns and emergencies, and implementation of corrective actions. Collaborates with the Manufacturing and Test Engineering facilities engineering in the design, implementation, maintenance, and modification of manufacturing and Test equipment and processes including coordination of continuous improvement activities. Ensures systems are optimized for performance and in full regulatory compliance. Administers various facilities programs and processes including the development and implementation of procedures; development and implementation of continuous improvement and cost reduction activities; and the assurance for cost effective compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, statues, regulations, and codes. Develops and implements facilities projects including engineering design. Responsibilities include development of drawings, specifications, and procedures, identification of prerequisites, ordering of parts, supplies, and equipment, development of cost and schedule estimates and business justifications, development of work scopes, and project management. Provides various facilities site services including the development of scope and specifications, selection of service provider, negotiation of agreements, and administration of service while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Supports facilities management in the planning, scheduling, directing, and monitoring of work. Mentor junior engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance on best practices.
What you Bring: Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance BS in Mechanical or Civil engineering from an accredited institution Two (2) years’ experience in facilities engineering in a manufacturing facility Ability to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Strong understanding of facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), equipment, engineering principles, and industry standards. Proven ability to implement complex facilities projects, including planning and execution. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and has a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues quickly and efficiently. Experience in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Proficiency in interpretation and implementation of Codes, Standards and Regulations Knowledge of the building process and construction principles
