Requirements
Position Summary:
Joining the WIN team as the Facilities Engineer is an integral role within the Operations Department, and as such, all ideas, input and constructive recommendations will be highly valued. The Facilities Engineer has primary responsibility for managing the entirety of WIN's owned and leased office and equipment sites throughout the WIN footprint. This position will oversee and be responsible for all building-related activities in preserving the good condition of infrastructure to ensure that facilities are safe and functioning well.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Maintain operational and occupational readiness, safety, and efficiency at WIN's owned and leased facilities
•Ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology
•Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for office and equipment at facilities to maintain reliable and efficient operations
•Directly manage programs and operations such as leases, vehicle fleet, security/alarm systems, utility services, back-up AC power infrastructure at facilities, HVAC systems, plumbing systems and fire protection systems
•Manage and facilitate the custodial staff and/or contracted service provider(s) involved in cleaning, landscaping, construction, renovation and repairs of facility environments
•Handle preventative maintenance and remediation activities
•Ensure compliance with respective building codes, regulations and required inspections
•Update and maintain the safety program and sustain the associated safety documentation for the built environment and owned and leased facilities
Technical Skills:
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills as well as good analytical and critical thinking abilities
•Possess a proficient level of IT literacy
•Ability to make quick decisions in a confident and decisive manner
•Commercial Awareness (understanding of business trends and the impact on our industry)
Qualifications:
•Possess a (2) year degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant position with proven experience as facilities manager or closely related field
•Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire/life and safety along with basic knowledge of carpentry and locksmithing skills
•Must have a general knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
•A relevant professional qualification such as CFM will be advantageous
