Field Application Engineer Our client, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, is seeking a talented and technically astute Field Application Engineer. In this essential role, you will leverage your high level of technical product expertise to drive successful business outcomes. You will serve as the primary technical resource for assigned product lines, providing critical support to product management, sales teams, and other functional groups to execute strategic initiatives across business units, partners, and customers. What You'll Do: Key Account Support: Provide expert technical support to existing key accounts and the sales team for targeted key accounts. General Product Support: Offer technical assistance to first-level field application engineer and general accounts, and provide technical training on the company's products, functions, systems, and solutions to best fit partners. Application Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in assigned products promoted regionally, along with application-specific knowledge. Training & Services Support: Create training materials and documentation (for company website, internal systems), represent products at trade shows, and provide on-site service as well as RMA/rework assistance. Operational Excellence: Contribute to activities aimed at improving working efficiency for technical support and operational processes, including global service initiatives. What You'll Bring: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E. - EE) or a related technical field. 0-3 years of professional experience, indicating an entry-level understanding of automation products. Entry-level understanding of automation products including AC Drives (VFDs), Servo Systems, PLCs, HMIs, Switches, Fieldbus, Process Controllers, Sensors, power supplies, robots, and relevant software/programming through education and/or experience. Strong communication skills to resolve routine automation product technical support issues within established company policies and procedures. Technical ability to solve product-related problems, initially with detailed instructions. Ability to understand customer needs, probe for solutions, and effectively advocate those solutions. Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Willingness to travel out of state and country as needed.
