Field Service Technician/Engineer
Climatic Testing Systems Inc. (CTS) designs and installs state of the art environmental testing facilities for the Automotive and HVAC industries. Our equipment is used in cutting edge R&D in new Automotive Technologies and in testing of new “Green” Air Conditioning Technologies. We are looking for a driven, goal-oriented individual for our Field Service Team.

Responsibilities:
Provide customer site start-up and commissioning of equipment.
Provide training to customer personnel on the usage and maintenance of the equipment.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform equipment assessments.
Coordinate with the factory to retrofit any parts or assemblies on site.
Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues that may arise on the equipment.
Represent the company in meetings with customer.
Requirements:
Must have 1-5 years’ experience commercial or industrial refrigeration systems and/or instruments and controls. Experience in the environmental test chamber industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of mechanical components such as fans, motors, steam generators, pumps, control valves and pneumatic components.
Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems a plus.
Experience with instrumentation and controls a plus.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) a plus.
Knowledge of AC/DC motors, contactors, solid state relays, heaters, safety switches.
Good understanding of mechanical assembly drawings, mechanical and electrical schematics.
Proficient PC skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Overnight travel is required.
Nationwide applicants will be considered and will not be required to relocate.
EPA license to handle refrigerants is required.
Education:
High School Diploma (required)
Associate degree in HVAC or Instrument and Control Systems or equivalent (such as military training) with minimum 3 years’ experience in service-related role, or extensive Practical Experience.
Travel:
Must have clean criminal record.
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time domestically.
Must have a valid passport with no restrictions.
Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
