Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Software Engineering General Summary: FW Job Function: As a software engineer in the WLAN firmware group, you will be designing, developing, unit testing, bug fixing, and maintaining WLAN firmware components that implement functional aspects of WLAN features on low memory footprint processors. These components work in tandem with device drivers on host processors. The team works on cutting-edge WiFi technologies, resolving challenging design and performance issues, and collaborating with leading WiFi ODMs and OEMs globally under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include verifying hardware MAC features, debugging hardware MAC issues, and diagnosing WLAN RF system performance issues with various teams. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of software engineering experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of experience, or PhD in a relevant field. Additionally, 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python is required. Preferred Qualifications: Strong proficiency in C/C++. 2-6 years of experience developing drivers and firmware, especially for low memory systems, with skills in code/data optimization, data structures, OS theory, and system architecture.
