The ideal candidate: At least one of:

Has done impactful work at a company known for its front end and design Majorly contributed to a notable open source project Has a seriously impressive portfolio

And: Works with modern frameworks like React, Next, Svelte, etc. Diagnoses and resolves frontend performance bottlenecks Develops effective frontend state architecture Caches and manages frontend assets effectively

Mindset: Knows that building a startup is really hard work and is fully committed Doesn’t compromise between quality and shipping fast See what needs to be done and does it Know when to be outspoken or disagree and commit
