Having recently secured $3.8M in funding from top-tier investors including Founders Fund, they're on an explosive growth trajectory with projections to hit $5M ARR by year-end. Their founding team brings together expertise from leading technical institutions and is focused on solving complex challenges in one of the world's largest industries. What You Will Do Design and implement the foundational database and backend infrastructure that will power the next generation of insurance technology Create technical specifications and build scalable features utilizing Python, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and Docker Shape the overall technical stack with a focus on building robust, scalable systems Collaborate with a high-caliber team to develop and deploy production-ready code from day one Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture design Ideal Candidate Background 5+ years of experience in backend development using languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js Strong track record of designing and implementing scalable systems Deep expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and containerization Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL in production environments Background working with AI/ML systems and understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations Preferred Experience Previous experience at early-stage, high-growth companies Track record of building and scaling technical teams Experience with vector databases and modern AI infrastructure History of taking ownership of complex technical initiatives Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $200,000 - $260,000 Significant equity package: 0.6% - 1.2% Comprehensive health benefits Opportunity to be a foundational team member Work directly with technical founders Build cutting-edge AI technology Visa sponsorship available
