Primary Function
Seeking a Live Production & Broadcasting Engineer to maintain and assist operating Video and Audio equipment and routing systems. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in the fields of multimedia and A/V systems encompassing all related systems including operational system support, high-level troubleshooting and performance monitoring, capacity planning, support and documentation. Specific areas of expertise include broadcast production, virtual/hybrid production, webcasting, encoding, LED video wall programming, video and audio connectivity. This includes the use of advanced test equipment and performing signal analysis and equipment adjustments. Pay Rate: $86.50 - $115.50 per hour Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver broadcast-quality programming and technically flawless live events. Ability to operate and provide technical support for studio equipment and signal workflow. Maintain video routing signals through the Tricaster 2 Elite switchboard, LED video wall, and SNS cloud storage with the use of NDI routing systems. Coordinate multi-mic setups and signal flow with the use of Dante Virtual Sound Card. Ensure the operation of the LED video wall system, maintaining video source and picture ratio with the use of Planar and AnalogueWay systems while integrating video signals through WebRCS. Incorporate video conference software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams into live and taped programs. Support AV/IT as required. Other duties as assigned. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skills & Qualifications
Software: NDI Tools and Sienna matrix, Dante Virtual Sound Card, NewTek Tricaster. Ableton Live and EOS lighting are a plus. Hardware: Yamaha QL1 Soundboard, Tricaster 2 Elite, Sony PTZ cameras, Telemetrics, ClearCom. High degree of familiarity and proficiency with Planar, AnalogueWay, Newtek, Ross and Aja. Experience operating LTN transmit systems, fiber transmit systems, video patch bay panels, and VOIP lines. IT network maintenance & engineering. Ability to read and understand broadcast engineering design drawings. Strong technology familiarity with modern video cameras, lighting design platforms, digital storage platforms, file formats and webcast technology. Cross-trained in multiple positions with a proactive attitude to jump in where help is needed. Education & Experience
At least 4 years’ experience as a Broadcast or AV Engineer. Bachelor’s Degree, trade certification and/or progressive experience in communications, video/film production, digital/IT or related field is required.
