Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at Meta Reality Labs. As a key member of the hardware systems engineering team, you will lead the convergence of complex and novel sub-system and product architectures for state-of-the-art consumer mixed reality systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, determine critical interactions between subsystems, and define success criteria. In this role, you will execute validation and verification activities for new product integration, including system-level and subsystem testing, to ensure that hardware systems meet specified requirements and function correctly in their intended environment. You will leverage your broad understanding of Meta's infrastructure to address complex engineering challenges, identify trends and systemic issues, and drive resolutions. Required Skills: Hardware Systems Engineer Responsibilities: Lead hardware and technology teams through all phases of engineering design, development, and validation to bring complex MR products to mass production
Foster strategic relationships with cross-functional peers (engineering, research, business, design, and user research) to define product requirements and architecture
Provide technical ownership and guidance for critical hardware product decisions, driving the development of cutting-edge MR devices for Meta's users
Collaborate effectively across all levels of management and individual contributors, both internally and externally
Drive business results, optimize overall objectives, and cultivate a environment of collaboration and innovation
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
10+ years of experience in integrated hardware and software product development with a proven track record of successful market deliveries
Demonstrated expertise in full-life cycle product launches, including sustainment
Proven technical proficiency in one or more of the following hardware disciplines: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, display, optics,systems engineering
Leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional technology teams through personal accountability and influence
Proficient communication skills, with experience in articulating complex technical concepts and drive alignment on product requirements and architecture across organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 12+ years of direct relevant experience
Previous AR/VR or Wearables experience
Previous Display, Optics and System-on-Chip (SoC) experience
Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related field
