Overview
Seeking a well-organized and hands on Systems Engineer to help us continue our modern desktop transformation. The candidate will be able to hit the ground running as part of the infrastructure End User Compute group at our Fortune 300 company with nationwide reach. This position reports to our Jacksonville, Florida corporate headquarters. Jacksonville, FL area candidates preferred, will consider a highly matched candidate for remote work The Company is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas. Duties
• Software packaging and deployment to the enterprise • Metrics and reporting of software deployment to requestors and management • Maintains enterprise desktops using Microsoft Modern Management technologies • Implements policies and maintains policy compliance working across disciplines within and out of IT • As part of a team, establishes and maintains technical standards, policies and procedures for the IT enterprise for the endpoints. • Acts as an escalation point for IT staff for Windows platform knowledge and issues, established best practices and Corporate IT standards • Maintains, designs and plans infrastructure management platforms • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within end user computing disciplines including vendor management and coordination with internal teams. • Responds to service incidents as Tier 3 escalation • Resolves application compatibility challenges • Provides support for security and compliance initiatives • Is comfortable following change control and communication processes Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience. Experience
• Microsoft MECM (SCCM) Current Branch • Experience with MEM (Microsoft Intune) as desktop management • Adaptiva OneSite • Patch My PC • Tanium • SQL Server Reporting Services report creation • Autopilot • Microsoft MDT • Windows Workstation hardening or administration • Automation scripting (Powershell) • Other software packaging tools experience • Familiarity with T-SQL Additional Information
REQUIREMENTS: • 5+ years managing and troubleshooting a managed Microsoft Windows environment including: o Working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM formerly SCCM) particularly in a co-managed environment. o Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy configuration and administration. o Windows Server experience o Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and networking technologies o Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills o Strong team skills, communication and drive to ensure constant improvement in service, capabilities and results ADDITIONAL SKILLS: • Strong documentation skills a plus • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of IT across multiple disciplines • Ability to internally market Corporate enterprise initiatives to internal customers both in and out of IT • Understanding of ITIL/Service Management processes.
