None/Not Required Collins Aerospace is looking for an Industrial Engineer II for our Brazonics team within Mission Systems.
This candidate will utilize their experience and talents to provide engineering support to manufacturing processes. This person will interface with the Leaders across the business to drive performance improvements, conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and production record systems.
Brazonics, Inc. is a brazing, machining and engineering company based out of Hampton, New Hampshire. Brazonics specializes in dip and vacuum brazing combined with highly sophisticated chassis testing. Our distinct process goes beyond traditional capabilities to deliver durable and highly efficient thermal solutions to aerospace and commercial industries. This position provides the right candidate with an exceptional opportunity to grow their manufacturing engineering career. The selected candidate will support the Thermal and Electronic Solutions team within Mission Systems and the individual will play a key role in the organization as they prepare for facility relocation.

What You Will Do
Reviews existing operations, documenting product and information using tools including value stream maps and process flow diagrams; develops recommendations for process improvements; and leads the implementation of the recommendations
Participates in factory layout initiatives for optimal process flow and material levels, and material presentation
Performs Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
Participates in Lean events and aides cross-functional teams on use of Lean principles & tools
Identifies needs for manufacturing simulation models; leads data collection and analysis efforts to support model creation and modifications; understands capacity models and makes recommendations based on the model outputs
Investigates performance KPIs/metrics and variances; performs cost/benefit analysis and trade-off studies for methods and productivity improvements. Partners with support team including Front Line Leaders (FLLs) on improvement actions
Supports 5S and tour prep, supports Tier board management and improvements, and audit compliance
Supports new proposals; coordinates data collection based on historical information
Conducts machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE)
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Prior experience working in a Lean environment with demonstrated understanding of Lean principles
Experience leading a team or project to include demonstrated strong teaming skills to work with multiple levels of stakeholders (floor operators, peers, management, etc.)
Qualifications We Prefer
Degree such as Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain Management
Requires strong oral and written communication skills to include experience creating and facilitating presentations and writing technical reports
Experience in Industry 4.0 smart factory (connect machines to data farm/ visual management for data analysis),in Tableau , Power Bi ,
Experience in 3P (production, process, preparation)
Proficiency in Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints methodologies and tools
Six Sigma Greenbelt certification, CORE certification, Shingo certification, or equivalent
Proficient in Process Simulations; focus on system optimization and transformation
Demonstrated knowledge in Automated Manufacturing and digital manufacturing tools and techniques (such as 3D modeling)
Managing project implementation at multiple factories / locations
Change management skills – a self-motivated change agent with bias for action and a sense of urgency
Knowledge in ERP systems
Transitioning development products to a production environment
Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, analysis, and cost benefits.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
