Chipton-Ross is seeking an Infrastructure and Automated Tools Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o Experience managing large server and IT systems, both bare metal and virtual machines. o Strong communication and coordination abilities. o Regular and predictable attendance is required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Client is looking for an Infrastructure and Automated Tools Engineer to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you'll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

o Work with Product Security, Software and IT engineers to execute the Infrastructure and Tools team scope of work. o Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment. o Works with the Infrastructure Manager to help transform the existing Test IT Infrastructure and Tools. o Designs networks and complex IT Infrastructure, including redundancy and disaster recovery systems. o Contributes to important initiatives to upgrade existing infrastructure and leads adoption of latest technologies which include virtualization and automation. o Assists in implementing best practices to manage a network server room. o Lead the team to develop engineering documentation and processes to reduce waste and maximize repeatability. o Setup of infrastructure tools and environments such as Servers, Virtual Machine, Storage, Network/Firewall. o Champions Lab Excellence initiatives to continuously improve server room environment. o Works in a hands-on lab environment with a variety of different types of test equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Holds a Security+ Certification. o 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o Experience in Mix Unix/Linux and Windows, VMWare, NAS/SAN Storage environment. o 5 or more years leading technical teams. o An active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and current Tier 5 (T5).

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in an engineering classification and typically 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Required: Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.

WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING variable shifts 1st or 2nd. PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.

ADDITIONAL: Domestic travel required: Possible 5 to 10%. Possible OT required due to business needs. Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
