Contract Details: Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6-12 months (based on performance and business need) Start: 08/12/2025 End: Estimated 02/12/2026 - 08/12/2026 Pay Rate: $30.00/hour Shift/Hours: Standard business hours Job Summary: The Cloud Platform PaaS/Application Specialist will join the Infrastructure Design Team to support Application and Development teams in adopting cloud-native services. This role involves onboarding Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings, guiding teams through secure architecture design, and ensuring adherence to information security best practices. The position requires hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS environments, DevOps pipelines, and the migration of on-premises applications to cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Onboard PaaS services into the organization's Cloud Service Catalogue. Support Application and Development teams throughout the application lifecycle to ensure proper use of PaaS services in alignment with company policies. Provide recommendations to drive Cloud Native/Cloud First architectures. Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensure compliance with security requirements. Assist DevOps teams with secure and automated delivery of code, services, configuration, and data. Create documentation to support multi-cloud adoption and configuration. Educate and advocate for Cloud Native Application adoption. Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field. 10+ years in IT, with at least 3 years designing/managing PaaS and IaaS in Azure and/or AWS. Experience migrating and transforming on-premises applications to Azure PaaS. 2+ years working on global deployment projects in Azure with DevOps using TFS/Azure DevOps. Nice-to-Have Experience: Experience managing infrastructure in mid-to-large companies. Cloud networking knowledge. Understanding of AI services infrastructure. Required Skills: Deep understanding of Terraform. Strong knowledge of cloud service security and configuration best practices. Broad understanding of technology stack including network, server, and database components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with AWS and Azure security frameworks. Experience with analytics platforms and web technologies. Additional Skills: Ability to work in fast-paced, global environments.
