IPM Process Engineer

New Today

Position Summary
This position will participate in the development and application of various processes utilizing specialized equipment to efficiently accomplish production, testing, benchmarking, modification, and repair of Astemo Intelligent Power Module (IPM) products.
Used in our inverters, IPMs are advanced, on-chip solid-state power switching devices. The term "power module" refers to the presence of a power switching component (usually an IGBT-type transistor), and it is "smart" because it includes additional control and protection circuitry.
The expertise needed will involve the production processes to make IPMs. Production equipment will need to be properly validated and qualified, operated to equipment specifications producing finished assemblies based on the product standards and customer requirements for mass production.
