Collaborate with the team to develop user interfaces and clarify product requirements. Balance squashing of bugs and under-the-covers improvements alongside new features. Communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, whether it is a Slack message, Trello comment, email, or GitHub comment. Work on some of the most difficult and critical problems that the company encounters. Merge your latest feature that will drive safety and efficiency for our sites. Interview users to get feedback on new product features. Present what you have learned or shipped during a weekly demo session. Contribute to the team and informally mentor other engineers by providing PR feedback. Cumulus developers have end-to-end control over our mobile and web user experiences. Developers gain experience building a cool mobile app and distributing it to iOS and Android users. Not only do you work on app development, you also get to work with OEM manufacturers, smart tools, and other technology integrations (like BLE). At Cumulus, we take a full-stack development approach with collective code ownership. About you Were looking for someone who is: Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment Passionate about building quality software and shipping frequently Open to feedback and collaborative in a team setting Curious about how software interacts with real-world tools and data Responsibilities In this role, you will: Collaborate with engineers to build features across the stack (frontend and backend) Fix bugs and improve usability and performance Participate in code reviews and learn best practices Write unit and integration tests for new functionality Help implement UI designs from Figma or design specifications Engage in team planning, sprint reviews, and demos Learn about customer use cases and help translate real-world needs into software features Professional Qualifications You should have: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) A basic understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: React, React Native, Node.js, GraphQL, AWS, GitHub, DynamoDB Exposure to frontend and backend development (through coursework, personal projects, or internships) Willingness to work in a hybrid setup with occasional travel to our offices or customer sites (preferred, not required) Dont meet every qualification?
