The Software Development / Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, and deploying software solutions while conducting systems analysis and improving operations. Responsibilities: Responsible for design, development, testing and deployment of the computer software. Provides feasibility analysis, problem definition, requirements development, and solution development. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Improves operations by conducting systems analysis. Recommends changes in policies and procedures. Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes by following the software development lifecycle. Qualifications: Required: Bachelors Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field with 2 years 15 years of relevant experience. Candidates who are Non-Immigrant Aliens (not a U.S. Citizen) or an Immigrant Alien (U.S. Permanent Resident-Green Card Holder) must have resided in the U.S. for a minimum of three (3) years in the last five (5) years. Preferred: Strong preference given to applicants having FAA, air traffic management, and/or aviation experience/education.
