Your new role As our new Lead Consultant, you will work on complex projects involving the permitting, management, remediation, modification, and closure of industrial waste impoundments, water and tailings dams, and contaminated sites. Your key responsibilities will be: Supporting the conceptual design, permitting, final design, and construction of geoenvironmental remediation systems (cutoff walls, barriers, closures and caps, groundwater management systems, etc) for industrial waste impoundments and contaminated sites. Supporting the assessment of dam safety and management practices. Performing construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimating. Working with experienced Ramboll engineering and CAD staff to develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, and CQA plans. Performing geotechnical calculations including seepage, slope stability, seismic and liquefaction assessments, settlement analyses, etc. About you Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience focused in geotechnical, geoenvironmental, and civil engineering. Registered PE (MO and IL, or licensure in another U.S. state with the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months). Ability to support the development of civil and geoenvironmental design projects. Ability to lead field subsurface investigation programs. Ability to work semi-independently with limited, but regular, oversight from experienced Ramboll staff. What we can offer you Interesting and diverse projects.
