The Lead Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and platforms that drive Coastal Waste & Recycling's data strategy and reporting. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure that enables data accessibility, integrity, and insights across the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency in data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake preferred) High attention to detail with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation. Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Proven experience in Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions Expertise in data engineering technologies (e.g. Python, SQL, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency in data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake preferred) High attention to detail with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams Strong project management capabilities High level of adaptability and problem-solving skills
