This position involves transforming data systems and architecture to support greater variety, volume, and velocity of data and data sources. Responsibilities include extracting data from various sources, connecting and making them suitable for software systems, and developing models and algorithms.
Position Compensation Range:
$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

Compensation may vary based on job level and geographic location. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities:
Lead design and implementation of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, and Helm.
Develop reusable architecture patterns and platform capabilities for scalable self-service infrastructure.
Collaborate with application teams to define infrastructure needs and provide guidance on cloud-native best practices.
Champion GitOps workflows and automation pipelines for consistency, reliability, and speed.
Mentor engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure infrastructure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
Evaluate new technologies and influence roadmap decisions.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and platform engineering.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane).
Proficiency in CI/CD, GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD), and DevOps tools.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring.
Experience designing and supporting production-grade infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Additional Details:
Travel up to 10%.
Work primarily involves sitting/standing.
This is a flexible office/home role requiring a minimum of 10 days/month at Madison, WI or Boston, MA.
