Lead IT Engineer – UNIX and Storage Job Description: This job opening is for an experienced UNIX/Linux and Storage Administrator to provide systems, middleware and storage support services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing/maintaining both UNIX/Linux-based systems & storage solutions, to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities UNIX System Administration: Install, configure and maintain UNIX/Linux operating systems (., AIX, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, Assist with installation, configuration and management of middleware applications (. IBM WebSphere Application Server and Apache Webserver). Install, configure and maintain Enterprise Storage systems and SAN/TAN devices (., IBM DS & FlashSystem storage, Dell/EMC storage, Brocade fiber channel switches). Assist with installation, configuration and management of Enterprise Backup solutions (., Rubrik, Veeam, BackupExec, Commvault) Perform system patching, firmware updates, upgrades and performance tuning. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues. Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures. Monitor system performance and availability. Automation and scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for system/storage administration and automation tasks (., Ansible, ksh, bash, Perl, Python). Utilize configuration management tools (., SaltStack, CFEngine, Chef, Pupet) to automate system configuration. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to developers, platform administrators and other teams. Diagnose and resolve complex system and storage issues. Participate in afterhours systems deployment and maintenance. Participate in on-call rotation. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent Industry Experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator. Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems (AIX and RedHat preferred). Strong knowledge of Enterprise Storage solutions (Brocade, IBM and Dell/EMC preferred). Proficiency in one or more scripting languages. Experience with Configuration management tools (. Ansible, Pupet, Chef, CFEngine, SaltStack). Understanding of network concepts and protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain gaming licenses in required jurisdictions.
