Lead Network Automation Engineer We are seeking a Lead Network Automation Engineer to join our Application Hosting Secure Network Services team. This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering mission-critical solutions in high-profile environments, helping drive the transformation of our network infrastructure through automation, enabling faster provisioning, enhanced transparency, and improved operational efficiency. As a technical leader, you will lead network engineering initiatives, mentor team members, collaborate across teams, design, develop, and implement network solutions and automation that support the provisioning, operation, and maintenance of engineered network services.
The Application Hosting Secure Network Services team provides foundational network infrastructure for Wells Fargo's data centers, enabling secure connectivity to business partners, the public Internet, and public cloud providers. We are focused on transforming our operations through full automation and delivering transparent, self-service infrastructure to our internal customers. In this role, you will:
Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise network architectures.
Lead cross-functional teams through planning, execution, and delivery of network projects using Agile methodologies.
Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported.
Automate network tasks using Python, Ansible, and other tools.
Research performance trends and recommend process improvements.
Perform complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and configurations.
Make decisions in security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secure network solutions.
Assess changes for risk to production systems and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to assure Service Level Agreements can be supported.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of network engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
5+ years of Cisco routing and switching.
3+ years of VPN technology configuration.
3+ years of network automation.
CCNA certification.
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of Arista routing and switching.
2+ years of firewall experience.
Demonstrated experience creating network automation solutions.
Experience with Ansible, Go, JINJA, NETCONF, Python, REST, YAML, YANG.
Experience in Git, Jira, Jenkins usage and integrations.
Experience with network management, automation, and orchestration tools, such a Ansible Tower, Cisco DCNM and Arista CVP.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Knowledge and understanding of technical experience including IP routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall.
Experience creating automated testing.
Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Job Expectations:
Willingness to align regular workday to eastern time zone.
Willingness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days a week.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Willingness to support occasional out of hours operational needs.

Pay Range:
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates. $119,000.00 - $224,000.00.
