Description Join Leidos as a Lead Network Engineer in our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as we facilitate the migration to a unified IT infrastructure for Department of Defense's Fourth Estate agencies. Position Summary: In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing Network Infrastructure services that are essential for the transition and management of a cutting-edge network environment supporting all 4th Estate users. We seek someone dedicated to innovation, cybersecurity, and technical excellence. Clearance Requirement: Applicants must hold an active Secret security clearance prior to starting and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required) Key Responsibilities: Act as a Subject Matter Expert in network design, integration, testing, and implementation. Provide expert insights on large-scale enterprise network solutions, operational transition, and technical maintenance for a variety of network devices. Lead and mentor a team of 5+ direct reports while fostering professional development. Work collaboratively with Network Domain Architects to enhance STIG compliant configurations and automation practices. Oversee the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Continuous Service Improvements (CSI). Evaluate network performance and bandwidth requirements and implement recommendations. Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance in coordination with stakeholders. Serve as senior Tier III escalation support for Incident Management activities. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and reports. Participate in Root Cause Analysis activities to identify and solve problems. Adapt to a dynamic and mission-focused environment with agility and expertise. Basic Qualifications: Master's degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience. Must possess a DoD IAT level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+). Hold advanced/professional vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto). 10+ years of experience in engineering and troubleshooting complex networks, including extensive knowledge in routing, switching, and emerging technologies. Proficient in IP network addressing and familiar with ITIL framework. Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior management and stakeholders. Willingness to travel up to 25%, including potential overseas assignments. Availability to work off-hours to meet mission requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with DISA supported networks. Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM). Experience in NET/SEC DevOps methodologies. ITIL v3/v4 certification and Agile certifications or experience. CISSP or CCIE active certification. This position is based at Ft. Meade, MD. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $126,100.00 - $227,950.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
