Hybrid Flexibility | Software Startup | Among Coolest Midwest Tech Offices About RIVET
RIVET is how construction labor gets to work. RIVET's software platform transforms the way contractors manage, plan, schedule and deploy crews in one unified platform. The RIVET team is passionate about leveraging technology to champion the skilled trades, accelerate digital transformation, and make construction an industry of choice for a new generation entering the workforce. The Role
As a Lead QA Engineer at RIVET, you will take full ownership of our quality assurance efforts, shaping how bugs are identified, prevented, and resolved. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Support to establish a repeatable and scalable QA process that ensures quality isn't an afterthought-it's a first-line defense. You'll create and maintain automated test scripts (primarily using Playwright), define what UAT means for our team, and ensure it happens effectively every sprint.
You'll be hands-on from day one, implementing processes and performing QA yourself before we scale the team. Engineers currently QA each other's work-a method we know needs improvement-and you'll be the one to change that. Working alongside the VP of Engineering, you'll not only build the process, but help embed quality into how we build software from the start. Your work will have a measurable impact, and your metric for success will be clear: reduce bugs in both trunk and production.
This is a high-impact, ground-floor opportunity to define what QA looks like at RIVET. Over time, the role will evolve into a leadership position as we grow, with the potential to build and manage an offshore QA team that runs the processes you've designed. We're looking for someone with the vision, experience, and adaptability to scale alongside us. What You'll Do
