About the Role
As Lead Security Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert for application security, ensuring that our products remain secure against current and emerging threats. You will play a critical role in defining and implementing secure coding practices, performing threat modeling, and guiding teams through vulnerability remediation.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement secure coding standards, collaborating with engineering teams to adopt best practices.

Conduct architectural and code reviews with a security focus.

Perform threat modeling and risk assessments.

Identify, test, and remediate security vulnerabilities via both manual and automated methods.

Integrate automated security tools (SAST, DAST, RASP, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.

Lead triage and resolution of security issues.

Evaluate and recommend commercial or open-source security solutions.

Collaborate closely with product, machine learning, and platform engineering teams.

About You

8+ years of experience in roles such as Senior/Lead Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, or Product Security Engineer.

Proficient in TypeScript and Python environments.

Strong background in secure software development, vulnerability assessment, and automation in CI/CD contexts.

Skilled communicator with a collaborative, user-centric mindset.

Hybrid role based in San Francisco (NYC hybrid possible only for top-tier candidates).
