Lead Software Engineer The U.S. Bank Spend Management Accounting team is looking for a well-rounded Lead Software Engineer with a track record of building delightful customer experiences at scale. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Architecture: Design and develop critical features and common reusable frontend components. Participate in and contribute to the design and architectural decisions of the front-end platform to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements, Identify and select the right tools and frameworks for the job. Identify and implement frameworks to enhance web/mobile platform capabilities and productivity Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and low latency Building & Managing System Observability: Leverage Spunk, SignalFX or similar products to build & maintain systems observability by creating dashboards, alerts and runbooks Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and internal standards Collaboration: Work closely with front-end engineers, experience teams, product managers and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally to build and evolve platform and application capabilities that meet the technical, product, and business objectives Testing & Debugging: Implement comprehensive test strategies including unit testing, integration testing to maintain & improve product quality and debug issues as they arise. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the existing codebase and development processes. Be an owner and a champion of platform and application quality, performance, and integrity Be customer focused Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience A full stack developer with emphasis on front-end development Expertise in React, React-Native, Typescript, NodeJs and REST Api platforms Preferred Skills/Experience Demonstrated track record on leading projects as a lead front-end or Full Stack engineer Experience leading software architecture design for complex distributed systems and applications. Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and other related front end technologies stack (HTML, CSS, NodeJs, etc) Experience integrating with REST API platforms Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure using AWS Experience with CI/CD and testing automation Experience with building app with AppStore/GooglePlay is a plus Experience with Observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Grafana etc. Experience in financial services, payments, or processing is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to function in a demanding environment. Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communicator with ability to explain and evangelize complex ideas clearly across org boundaries. Ability to grasp new product features early in their development cycle when documentation is often limited or unavailable. Experience working in an agile development (Scrum) environment with a customer-centric mindset. Ability to work independently yet fully collaborate with remote teams, technical leadership, and architects at the company. Strong business understanding to be able to bridge technical and business priorities. Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
