The Leidos National Security Sector focuses on combining mission software capabilities and technology-enabled services in the realms of cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics to assist our defense and intelligence clients in countering evolving global threats. Your most impactful work awaits! The National Security Sector is seeking a Chief Engineer to spearhead the technical execution of a significant software development and systems engineering integration program. As the lead contractor, Leidos aims to enhance performance and successfully deliver mission outcomes by effectively managing the customer’s product backlog and project roadmap. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the technical integrity, quality, and thoroughness of deliverables and work products. Foster cross-discipline integration among Agile development teams, promoting a culture of innovation. Utilize systems engineering principles consistently through all lifecycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Engage with government representatives regarding engineering technical considerations and problem resolution. Effectively communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior management. Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers. Qualifications: Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution. A minimum of twenty (20) years' experience in systems/software engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity. Deep understanding and extensive experience with the customer's SIGINT/CNO environments, sensor enterprise, and tasking systems. Proven expertise in leading, architecting, and executing large-scale Agile development programs. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution. Experience with implementing solutions in cloud-based architectures. Location: For this position, specific work address will be provided upon application. Pay Range: Pay Range: $148,850.00 - $269,075.00 The Leidos pay range for this role is a general guideline and not a guaranteed salary. Factors in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, market alignment, applicable bargaining agreements, or other legal considerations.
