Job Summary
Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within our e-house line, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Own key responsibilities for quality system including calibration, MRB process, production work instructions, forms, and other process documentation.
Facilitate setup reduction events, mistake-proofing in a MTO environment.
Lead new equipment specifications, installations, and qualifications.
Prepare and present capital expenditure proposals.
Coordinate with vendors and other internal teams to identify and execute cross functional CI projects.
Self-starter for CIs (solicit ideas, specify solutions, and procure and execute).
Design and shop floor layout work as needed AutoCAD, Solid Works.
Help coordinate and drive safety and quality improvements.
Tactical role in safety and quality system deployment/enhancements.
Leading special assignments for quality, capacity, and efficiency.
Work collaboratively partnership with Supervisor, Operators, and Engineers.
Perform drafting and design, BOM, work with suppliers on special projects.
Assist/develop/create machine programs based on CAD drawings.
Hands on role, work closely with variety of positions.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledgeable about metal fabrication and assembly processes. (brakes, laser, turret operations, assembly and wiring).
AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks knowledge/experience.
Lean and problem-solving experience.
Additional Skills and Experience
Ability to effectively execute high-level engineering tasks, including planning, scheduling, and leading major cross-functional technical projects in a complex manner.
LEAN manufacturing experience.
Must possess good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
