*POSITION OVERVIEW*Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving the manufacturing processes to achieve production efficiency, quality, safety and cost objectives.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, along with related fixtures and tooling consistent with zero defect and low product cost* Develop visual factory, continuous flow, material handling, tooling and workstations* Develop, document and release repeatable, standardized processes* Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to drive continuous improvement in labor costs, waste reduction, workflow and production efficiency* Recommend and implement new manufacturing processes, methods, and technology* Provide technical support for production personnel in all phases of the manufacturing process and develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees* Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.* Participate in corrective actions for quality concerns/complaints and be able to develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issues* Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting of defective product coming from production or customers* Estimate labor requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions* Support maintenance technicians in troubleshooting equipment issues* Generate accurate engineering documentation (Routings, BOMs, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, shop drawings, etc.) to support the manufacturing process and changes to the products and product specifications.
