More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ The Onsite Manufacturing Engineer will design, integrate, or improve manufacturing systems or related processes. May work with commercial or industrial designers to refine product designs to increase producibility and decrease costs. Key Responsibilities: Investigate and procures all data required to develop costing structure to preliminary sketches and schematic diagrams for tools, machines, and products to support Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing, Item Masters. Build and maintain all Bill of Material (BOM) work and routings in BPCS. Development of Company policy and procedures for Bill of Materials (BOM), work centers and routings, Engineering Change Notice (ECN), product development, materials standards steel suppliers, wire form outsourcing standards, and other appropriate engineering policies. Development of routing for current or standard type products for new process developments. Design support to the customer to best meet product needs and fit into cost effect manufacturing processes. Research materials and suppliers to best match the needs of the customer. Keep a clean line drawn between confidential ideas of the American Appliance Products driven products and the customer-to-customer driven designs. Group for new process developments. Maintains close working relationship with the Machine Shop, Maintenance, Fabrication/ Finishing Supervisors, and Materials in solving plant problems. Review present and new installations for best practice ergonomics conditions, provide improvements. Match products to existing processes for best use of present capital equipment. Development of the production standards. Responsible for documentation, cost files, new parts start up, schedule files, production files, drawing files, copies, and reproductions. Floor support for test run and debug when required. Understand tool design concepts and developments in forming and bending analysis of steel products. Ability to move quickly from routine or planned work to assist and advise in emergency break downs to resume production as quickly as possible. Position Supervised or Directed: Reports to Engineer Manager. Qualifications, Experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Tooling Design. Experience with SolidWorks. Experience in AutoCAD. Experience in PTC Creo. Experience in MasterCAM. 1 year of experience in Resistance Welding. Experience in Hot/Cold forming. Experience in Heat treatment. Experience in Precision Machining. Experience in CNC machine programming. General Requirements: Able to travel to other divisions when required. Detailed and hands-on oriented. Working Conditions: Office and manufacturing plant environment. Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods. Occasionally exposed to fumes and loud noises.
