Manufacturing Engineer

Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh area manufacturer. The position requires close collaboration with our Engineering/Product Development and manufacturing teams. Job Responsibilities: -Create and document the Manufacturing, Inspection and Quality Control process across all existing and newly developed product lines.-Analyze, develop and implement process control techniques and procedures.-Utilizing 'Lean' principles, analyze, recommend and implement processes to reduce cost, increase quality and productivity throughout the entire manufacturing process.-Lead the transition from product development to production by producing pilot runs and all necessary documentation and 'work instructions'.-Design and assist in the manufacture of fixtures for manufacturing and testing/inspection.-Provide engineering support to production to trouble shoot and resolve technical issues.-Perform root cause analysis of reported issues and create corrective/preventative action reports and oversee implementation.-Collaborate with supply chain and contract manufacturers as necessary to maintain the highest quality of products received on a consistent basis.-Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to develop and produce quality control and inspection fixtures and procedures.-Assist in plant layout projects and initiatives to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Required Skills:-Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of practical hands-on experience in manufacturing.-Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly and machine shop manufacturing.-Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other departments at all levels of the organization-Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills-Ability to manage multiple projects while successfully accomplishing daily job responsibilitiesBonus Skills:-Familiarity with AutoCAD/Solid Edge-Experience with Lean Principles-Understanding and knowledge of ISO-9001, QMS, Six Sigma Technical Solutions Inc. provides a wide range of staffing services throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
