Description: GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineer for The Technology House will interact with all areas of the company to meet customer expectations. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Quality department to assist with the day-to-day quality control operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet customer expectation in the areas of CAD engineering/3D modeling, mechanical design, plastic part design, reverse engineering, design for manufacturing, process validation and product development
Improve operational efficiencies and process development
Write work instructions as necessary
Help define and translate customer requirements for the shop floor
Design and build fixtures for manufacturing
Train workers as necessary
Assist with manufacturing floor layout
Work with Project Management and the end customer
Interpret drawings and customer requirements
Quality: Perform first article inspections, operate/program CMM, assist with nonconforming product records and resolution, maintain customer and regulatory records/reports and assist in training QC Inspectors
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated proficiency in one or more CAD software programs
Demonstrated knowledge of plastic part design
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems
Knowledge of additive manufacturing
Knowledge in DFMA
Knowledge of company capabilities
Knowledge of company quality management system
Ability to read and create 2D drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated proficiency in Pro Engineer and/or SolidWorks
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with plastic manufacturing processes including blow molding, extruding, and roto-molding
