Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide management and leadership for new model programs within our organization. This role involves overseeing the entire program schedule, procuring quotes, developing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with customer and internal specifications.
Responsibilities
Provide management and leadership for new model programs, including overall program schedule updates, tooling schedules, and Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs).
Actively participate in new part quotations, assessing feasibility, and determining costs for labor and material requirements.
Procure quotes and negotiate the purchase of new equipment and assembly lines.
Develop manufacturing processes for complex automotive assemblies.
Collaborate with design teams and suppliers to develop and implement automation solutions.
Ensure development processes meet customer and internal specifications.
Oversee production trial schedules and documentation.
Participate in customer reviews during all phases of development and launch.
Plan for efficient material flow in manufacturing.
Complete Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ECIs on current parts.
Support activities in production as needed.
Manage the building of new equipment and tooling for programs required for new model launches.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Visualize material flows, mold/machine operation, or assembly operations.

5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
Experience in automotive manufacturing and interiors
Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP
Work Environment
This role involves working in a climate-controlled environment with a focus on injection mold and IP assembly processes. The team consists of nine members, including technicians and engineers. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with on-call duties to assist remotely as needed, averaging 1-2 calls.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
