Location: Buffalo, WV Onsite (Steel Toe Boots Required)
Project Duration: 12 months to start, with potential for extension
Travel: Up to 20% (Domestic & International – for meetings and observations; not required immediately)
Key Responsibilities
Develop operating process plans for machining or assembly of Powertrain components
Lead planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launch of engine/transmission production lines
Create and maintain detailed schedules and budgets for assigned projects
Improve standard tools, templates, and benchmarking practices
Collaborate across functional teams, including engineering, quality, maintenance, and production, to meet project milestones
Visualize activity plans to align priorities and secure stakeholder consensus
Analyze complex manufacturing issues and effectively communicate root causes and countermeasures
Provide construction management and support during installation and trial phases
You will be part of a team of engineers, each responsible for a specific area of the production line. You’ll work closely with internal departments such as:
Seibi – project maintenance and technical equipment support
CMG – coordination with contractors for equipment installation
Safety – oversight of construction safety compliance
Plant Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR 5+ years of relevant experience
1–3+ years’ experience in process engineering , including schedule and budget management
Experience supporting high-capacity mass production lines (9,000+ units/month)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (read, interpret, and modify drawings) – 1 to 3 years
Familiarity with 3D CAD software – 1 to 3 years
Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and during plant shutdowns (e.g., July and December holidays)
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
