Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer Job Type: Long-term Contract (Potential for Direct Hire) Location: Whitestown, IN Pay Rate: $35.71 per hour About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team in Whitestown, IN. This position supports manufacturing and installation operations by applying principles of product quality planning, evaluation, and control. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering or supply chain and have experience working in manufacturing or logistics environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple quality systems and initiatives are essential. Key Responsibilities: Oversee systems related to customer quality issues, including corrective action requests (CARs), supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), and nonconforming material reports (NCMRs). Lead containment and root cause activities for quality issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and enhancing product and process designs. Ensure all products and development processes meet required quality standards. Identify and prioritize quality concerns; lead or support Six Sigma and other data-driven improvement projects. Conduct audits and assessments of processes and quality systems. Work cross-functionally with purchasing and supplier quality teams to improve incoming material quality. Act as a technical resource for quality standards across multiple departments. Support change management efforts through verification processes and key metric analysis. Customer Focus – Builds trust and delivers tailored quality solutions. Cross-functional Communication – Coordinates effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field is required. DAWIA or Six Sigma certification a plus. This position may require licensing to comply with export control regulations.
