We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Integration Engineer II to join our Technology team. This high-visibility individual will work alongside multiple teams, such as Marketing, Ecom, Rental, Analytics, Data Engineering, and various stakeholders, to support Email and SMS communications by building segmentation by leveraging the Customer C360 and CDP. As a Integration Engineer IIfor Marketing Technologies, you will oversee and optimize the omnichannel communications for all brands and touchpoints. This includes building end-to-end emails, from HTML creative assets to real-time API-triggered emails to batch email deployments.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, CRM, Analytics) to gather and translate campaign and automation requirements into technical specifications.
Work with other IT teams to align data access, integration feasibility, and compliance requirement
Design, implement, and maintain system integrations between Iterable and upstream systems (e.g., CDPs, CRMs, eCommerce platforms, data lakes).
Develop and support data pipelines (batch and real-time) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of audience, events, and transactional data into Iterable.
Own and optimize API-based integrations using Iterable’s REST API and event/webhook framework.
Implement robust data mapping and transformation logic to align source data structures with Iterable’s user profiles, custom events, and catalog data models.
Create and manage workflow automation and trigger logic for event-based campaigns (e.g., abandon cart, lifecycle messaging).
Monitor and troubleshoot data sync failures, message delivery issues, or journey logic errors using logs, platform diagnostics, and external monitoring tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Data Engineering, Analytics, DevOps) to ensure campaign readiness and data accuracy.
Ensure high supportability by documenting workflows, creating operational runbooks, and implementing alerting/monitoring (e.g., via Datadog, PagerDuty).
Maintain configuration-as-code practices using Git repositories for tracking changes to templates, journeys, and integrations.
Implement data quality checks and schema validations to prevent malformed or incomplete records from impacting campaigns.
Leverage Iterable’s experimentation features (A/B tests, control groups) by integrating test segments and tracking metrics.
Drive platform scalability by optimizing audience sync strategies, reducing payload sizes, and managing API limits.
Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) through consent management, data retention logic, and suppression handling.
