At CMC, our commitment to innovation, quality, and service is rooted in a shared dedication to those who risk their lives to protect and save others.About the Job:This role is responsible for creating new innovative tools that solve problems, enabling professionals in the rope rescue, rope access, and work at height industries to do their jobs with greater safety and efficiency. This position will be hands-on, collaborative and team based working closely with Engineering, Product Strategy, Operations and Marketing teams as well as the CMC School and industry experts. What You Do:Lead design efforts for new product and sustaining engineerig projects, including prototype development, testing, and validation of designs.Lead design reviews, including scheduling, technical guidance and feedback.Responsible for development of Bill of Materials, Bill of Operations, and ongoing ERP maintenance for new and existing products.Develop and support field test programs using the CMC School and other industry experts.Use design and engineering principles, calculations, and analysis to develop the detailed design of components, assemblies, and subassemblies.Perform tolerance analysis and develop suitable drawing tolerances using GD&T as applicable.Assist in creating and maintaining complete product data packages including design drawings, bill of materials, tech packs, and component specifications for both new and existing productsCoordinate the manufacturing launch of new & revised products, including establishment of project goals, training of operators and evaluating results.Compile manufacturing cost analysis and reporting of new & revised products.Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) efforts within new product development and ECO teams.Who You Are:Bachelor of Science Degree with a major field of study in mechanical engineering or related technical field2-7 years of work experience in a mechanical design environment with an ISO 9000/9001 organization.Experience in mechanical design, GD&T, metrology, desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills especially in leading problem solving and root cause analysis.Compensation details: 82500-135260 Yearly SalaryPI4da5706c104c-30070-38120318
