Responsibilities The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design efforts in a wide variety of market sectors with a specific focus on industrial projects such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Data Centers, and other Advanced Manufacturing projects.
The Mechanical Engineer may work under the direction of a Senior Engineer in a cross-discipline team including architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.
This role requires knowledge and understanding of the following: Mechanical Engineering systems and components such as pumps, coils, heat exchangers, and fans; Heating/Cooling loads calculations; HVAC equipment selections; Air and water plant distribution piping and ductwork sizing; Ventilation calculations; Pipe stress analysis calculations; CFD analysis calculations.
Calculations will be done using software tools such as IES, Pipe-Flo, Rhor2, and 6SigmaRoom. Prior knowledge of the software is a plus but not required.
In addition, the engineer will be responsible for the creation of drawings and specifications, participating in site walks, code analysis, and project meetings as required. Qualifications
Professional Engineering license required; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering; 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an engineering consulting firm or similarly related industry; Developing knowledge of mechanical systems design; Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (preferred); Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel. #LI-EC1
